Compassionate, Individualized Support for Life’s Challenges
At Tenon Collective, we understand that life’s transitions, challenges, and uncertainties can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating a major life change, grappling with feelings of isolation, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, you don’t have to do it alone.
We provide individual counseling for people who are looking for meaningful change, self-discovery, and support in building a life that feels aligned and fulfilling.
Who We Work With
We specialize in working with individuals who are:
Facing life transitions or questioning what’s next.
Struggling with loneliness, isolation, anxiety, or depression.
Seeking greater self-awareness and emotional clarity.
Wanting to improve relationships and build deeper connections.
High-achieving professionals feeling stuck, burnt out, or unfulfilled.
We understand that mental and emotional well-being is deeply connected to how we move through the world, and we tailor our approach to fit your unique experiences and goals.
Our Approach
At Tenon Collective, therapy is not just about symptom management—it’s about understanding yourself in a deeper way and creating meaningful change. Our approach integrates many modalities including:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy – A compassionate, non-pathologizing model that helps you explore and understand different parts of yourself.
Relational and Attachment-Based Therapy – Understanding how your past and present relationships shape the way you experience connection, trust, and safety.
Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Practices – Helping you build resilience and reconnect with yourself in a supportive and sustainable way.
LGBTQ+ Affirming, Identity-Conscious Therapy – Therapy that honors all aspects of who you are, whether you’re exploring identity, relationships, belonging, or healing from past experiences.
As a gay-owned practice, we deeply understand the importance of spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals feel truly seen and supported. We are proud to serve and celebrate our queer and trans communities, providing therapy that affirms your identity, relationships, and lived experience—without judgment or the need to explain.
Insurance & Payment
We believe that therapy works best when it’s tailored to your needs—not dictated by insurance limitations. That’s why we offer flexible self-pay options in addition to accepting most Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO plans.
Why Choose Self-Pay?
Many clients prefer self-pay because it allows for:
Greater privacy – Your records stay confidential, without an insurance company dictating care.
More control – No restrictions on session length, frequency, or the type of support you receive.
Deeper, more meaningful work – Therapy isn’t just about symptom management; it’s about real, lasting change.

Please contact us to learn about current self-pay rates
For those who wish to submit to insurance, we can provide a superbill for reimbursement consideration by your insurance provider (depending on your out-of-network benefits).
Using Insurance
We accept most BCBS PPO plans, but coverage varies. We encourage you to contact BCBS directly to verify:
Your mental health benefits
Out-of-pocket costs (co-pays, deductibles, etc.)
Whether pre-authorization is required
If you have any questions about payment options, please contact us. We’re happy to help you find the best fit for your needs.
Of course, you will be provided a Good Faith Estimate if you chose not to use insurance.
